12.2 locked and suspended?

Hello.

A server I manage, running 12.2/amd64, locked on Friday.
The logs just end abruptly and an hardware reset was required.

So far it seems like a deadlock, but what I find strange is the power
light blinking, as if the computer had entered power saving.

BIOS is set up to never enter suspension and powerd is not running.
I doubt anyone did mess physically with the box and, in any case, power
button should shutdown, not suspend.

So far I have no idea... I'll try enabling some debugging feature in the
kernel, but I had never seen such a behaviour before.
Any hint?
Any other reason the power light would blink?

Can you describe the blinking, and what's the hardware?

Power LED lights up... power LED goes off... power LED lights up...
power LED goes off...

If you are asking for the frequency, I don't know: I wasn't there and I
was only told it was blinking.

and what's the hardware?

i5-9400 on MSI B365 motherboard.
Do you need anything else specifically?
